KABUL: Chairman of the High Council for the National Reconciliation (HCNR) has said Afghan political leaders should understand the country’s current situation and avoid using sensitive and threatening remarks.
At the farewell ceremony of Hussein Oni Botseli, Permanent Representative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the Turkish Embassy in Kabul, Abdullah emphasized that the Afghan people currently expect political leaders not to use threats, force, and violence.
“The language of threats and coercion does not work in Afghanistan […] Some political figures speak recklessly when the mic is handed over to them.”
He said that we should all be aware of the situation, understand the sensitivity, and spread the message of peace, mutual acceptance, and unity in the country.
Meanwhile, Abdullah Abdullah appreciated the efforts, work, and long cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Conference representative in Kabul. He noted  Botsli had supported Afghanistan’s people in difficult and different situations.
