Iran, Uzbekistan reaffirm support for Afghan peace

KABUL: Iranian and Uzbekistani diplomats have discussed on cooperation to the Afghan peace process and boosting relations among Asian states, reports said Tuesday.


Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif during his visit to Uzbekistan, on Tuesday, met with his Uzbek counterpart Abdulaziz and the two officials agreed on boosting cooperation with efforts to bring peace to Afghanistan.
Iranian state news outlet, Mehr News Agency in a report said that the two sides also talked on bilateral and regional cooperation among Central Asian countries on issues of common interests.


The source said that the two sides also discussed bilateral relations, US sanctions against Iran and cooperation to the Afghan peace process.
